Sadio Mane goal Vs Salzburg: Watch Sadio Mane score against his former club to give Liverpool lead

Sadio Mane goal Vs Salzburg: Watch Sadio Mane goal against his former club Salzburg in the Champions League group stage round.

After facing a 2-0 defeat in the last Champions League game, Liverpool has come back strong in the tournament. The Reds are leading against Salzburg and have been solid so far.

It was Sadio Mane, who has helped Liverpool get a lead in the 9th minute of the game. The Senegalese International has been phenomenal for Liverpool so far and continues his scoring spree.

It was Mane himself who stated the buildup for the goal. He combines well with Firmino and the Brazilian striker finds the space for Mane and peels the ball away

Mane receives the ball at the right place and finishes off in style to make it 1-0 in the 9th minute of the game. His right-footed effort goes into the bottom right corner of the goal, giving no chance to Cican Stankovic.

However, Mane did not celebrate the goal, as Salzburg is his former team, and out of respect he opted to stay silent after naming himself in the score-sheet.

Things are bright for Liverpool, as the Reds have extended their lead after Andy Robertson scores a goal in the 25th minute of the game, after combining well with Trent Alexander Arnold.

With two goals already past Salzburg’s net, it does not seem that the Austrian club will be able to make any comeback in the game.

On the other hand, Liverpool seems to be back on track to defend their title after facing a setback in the first fixture of the Champions League against Napoli.

So far, underdog teams have been able to upset the bigger teams in this edition of the Champions League, will Salzburg be able to pull off a miracle with the ample amount of time remaining?
