Mane scored twice in Liverpool’s victory against Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup. He is at it once again in the match against his former club Southampton. In a match that has been dominated by Liverpool, Sadio Mane found the back of the net to finally give them something to show for their utter supremacy on the field.

Before the screamer of a goal, Liverpool’s frustration at their inability to break the deadlock was becoming more evident by the minute. The lead has now completely changed the atmosphere in and around the team.

With just seconds to half-time, Sadio Mane received a pass from James Milner at the edge of the 18-yard box. Mane flicked the ball to his right and then slammed it to the corner.

With this goal, Mane has now become the highest goal scorer in the Premier League in 2019. None of the goals have been scored from a penalty. This just goes to show how valuable the winger is to Liverpool’s success.

Now that Mane has opened his account for the 2019/20 season of the Premier League, one can expect many more wonder goals from the diminutive sensation.
