Sarfaraz Ahmed blunder vs England: Watch Pakistani captain misses two chances on one ball to dismiss Moeen Ali

Sarfaraz Ahmed blunder vs England: Pakistani captain and wicket-keeper missed Moeen Ali’s catch and run-out on the same ball.

During the sixth match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between England and Pakistan at Trent Bridge, Pakistan captain and wicket-keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed committed a blunder in the second innings when he missed a couple of chances of dismissing England all-rounder Moeen Ali on the same ball.

It all happened on the second ball of the 41st over when Ali’s attempt of hitting Pakistan leg-spinner Shadab Khan saw him edging the googly behind the wickets. In a chance which was never going to be easy for Ahmed, he couldn’t grab the ball. What also hurt the visitors was the fact that Ahmed also missed the opportunity to run-out the batsman.

With England needing 90 runs from 58 balls at that point in time, it could have hurt Pakistan to a great extent. Having scored 19 (20) with the help of one four, Ali failed to make the opportunity count.

Pakistani bowlers delivering in the slog overs saw them restricting England to 334/9 in 50 overs in a 349-run chase. While Shadab and fast bowler Mohammad Amir picked up a couple of wickets each, it was Wahab Riaz (10-0-82-3) who stood tall on his reputation when it mattered the most.

Senior all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez was declared the ‘Man of the Match’ for scoring 84 (62) with the help of eight fours and two sixes and dismissing England captain Eoin Morgan (9) in the 15th over.
