Sarfaraz Ahmed yawning memes: Twitter comes up with hilarious reactions as Pakistan captain yawns wide open during India vs Pakistan match

The ardent fans had a sigh of relief when the ongoing India vs Pakistan match being played at the Old Trafford in Manchester went underway. The grey forecast prior to the match, had dampened the spirits of the Cricketing fraternity, but a clear weather, made sure that they were in for yet another action-packed thriller.

Both the teams, on expected lines did meet the expectations of the crowd, but an embarrassing incident involving the Pakistani skipper, Sarfaraz Ahmed made the Twitteratis come up with some ‘rolling on the floor laughing’ stuff on the micro-blogging site.

What did exactly happen?

While we had an uninterrupted play for 45 overs in the first innings, rain played some spoilsport for a brief period only for the action to resume after around 45 minutes. Immediately before the action got underway, Sarfaraz was seen yawning with his mouth wide open, which unfortunately was captured by the ever vigilant shutterbugs.

Sarfaraz perhaps, had a brief sort of a power nap during the rain break as he again yawned like an alligator (that’s what our teachers used to comment right?) after a couple of deliveries bowled by Wahab Riaz.

It had been that sort of a break taken by Sarfaraz. A much needed one perhaps, as their bowlers had a hard time in front of the Indian batting order, who posted a healthy 336/5 after the alloted 50 overs. Rohit Sharma was the star with the bat yet again, as he blasted his second century of the ongoing World Cup, with a 113 ball 140, with the help of 14 fours and 3 mamoth sixes.

From the Pakistan side, Mohammad Amir again lived up to his team’s expectations as he picked up three wickets, including the controversial one of Virat Kohli. He gave away only 47 runs in his 10 over spell.
