Sehwag predicts the winner between India and Sri Lanka in Nagpur Test
Whatever has happened has happened for India in the Eden Gardens Test that ended in a draw. However, with no showers this time, one can witness the white knuckle ride on the terrifying roller coaster of full-fledged cricketing action between India and Sri Lanka.
Former India batting great and witty hindi commentator Virender Sehwag has come out with prediction for the Nagpur Test. Sehwag picked India as the clear-cut favourites as he believes India would win by a big margin.
Indian bowlers will once again get benefited to the greenish conditions which means the seamers will steal the show like they did in the opening Test. According to Sehwag, the surface is conducive for the bowlers to go about their business with relative ease.
“I feel that India will wrap up the second Test match against Sri Lanka in four days. It depends all on the toss as the surface will help the Indian bowlers. Even if we lose the toss,” Virender Sehwag quoted as saying by India TV news.
Ahead of the Nagpur Test, Virat Kohli cited the crammed schedule hasn’t given them ample time to prepare for the upcoming South Africa tour. Sehwag appreciates Virat Kohli’s views and fired back at BCCI for not planning things strategically keeping the futuristic tour in mind.
“Kohli was right to point out that the team hasn’t got enough time to prepare for the South Africa tour. They will have two practice matches but if it rains there, their three-day practice match preparation will also go for a toss.
If we get there two weeks before the series, the players can familiarise themselves with the wicket and have a few practice sessions to prepare themselves.
This is poor planning by the Board, if the Sri Lanka series had to happen, they could have made it shorter for Team India to prepare themselves for the Proteas tour,” he quoted.
