Seth Rollins Apologizes: WWE Universal Champion apologizes for his Garbage tweets

Seth Rollins Apologizes: WWE Universal Champion apologizes for his Garbage tweets and promises that he can and will do better.

Seth Rollins has long been regarded as one of the most talented wrestlers to ever grace a WWE ring. The architect received validation from his company as they handed him their coveted Universal Championship at Wrestlemania.

Rollins has since considered himself to be a leader of sorts in the company and took it upon himself to defend the company from the widespread criticism it had received recently.

The Universal champion took to twitter to claim that WWE was the best pro-wrestling company in the world. His claims were met with ridicule and Rollins did not take kindly to it. He began criticising everyone that did not agree with him and asked them to name any wrestler who did what he did, at his level and as often as he did.

Will Ospreay, NJPW Junior Heavyweight champion, nominated himself. However, Rollins talked him down and said Ricochet was a better version of him. The two had a back and forth before Seth pulled up bank accounts.

Rollins’ stubbornness to admit that this argument was unnecessary caused a lot of fans to turn sour on him. No one argued that WWE wrestlers aren’t talented. The criticism stems from the improper use of talent and bad booking. An aspect of the criticism Rollins never touched.

However, Rollins has now taken to twitter and apologized for his garbage tweets. He admitted that his tweet about comparing bank accounts was dumb and unbecoming of his values. He still remained firm in his sentiments over WWE being the best pro-wrestling in the planet and claimed to be proud to be a champion with the company. Rollins then promised that there would be no more garbage tweets from his side.

Will Ospreay accepted the apology in his tweet and jokingly asked him to buy him a Nando’s.

During his WWE white knighting, Rollins even bashed Ambrose saying:

“I think it’s a little presumptuous of him to talk down the company that gave him many opportunities. I don’t think there’s any reason to hop on a soapbox and complain.”

Dave Meltzer even suggested that Seth Rollins was operating as Vince McMahon’s mouth piece. Rollins’ take on Moxley was starkly different from Roman Reigns’ response on their former Shield brother.

The Big Dog had said: “I don’t think our working relationship is going to be what it used to be, but I’ll always have love for that guy, he’ll always be my close friend, and I wish the best for him.

We have a brotherhood, so I’m always cheering for him. I’ve shared so many great moments with Ambrose, or Mox. We have love for each other well beyond the wrestling, and it will always be that way.”

It is no wonder that Roman is seen as the leader backstage. Rollins while still a likable character, needs to learn not to let his emotions get the better of him in the future.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
