Shardul Thakur catch vs MI

Shardul Thakur catch vs MI: Chennai Super Kings pacer put on display a magnificent catch against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2019 final.

During the final of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings fast bowler Shardul Thakur used his brilliant athletic skills to dismiss Mumbai Indians all-rounder Krunal Pandya.

It all happened on the third delivery of the 13th over when Thakur firstly beat the batsman with a sharp short delivery. With the ball being lobbed in the air towards the square leg region, Thakur himself sprinted in a bid to catch the ball.

Accomplishing the primary task of reaching close to the ball, Thakur ticked the first box. Having taken the catch, momentum saw him dropping him in the first attempt. However, his awareness saw him catching the ball again in the second attempt to complete a magnificent running catch.

Krunal Pandya, who came in to bat at No. 5 in the 12th over, ended up scoring 7 (7).

After MI captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bat, his batsmen (including himself) didn’t make the most of the opportunity as they were seen being reduced to 89/4 in the 13th over. Despite Sharma and his opening partner Quinton de Kock shared a brisk 45-run opening stand, wickets falling at regular intervals didn’t help their case.
