Shikhar Dhawan recently caught up with fellow opening batsman Rohit Sharma as the two discussed about their record 160-run partnership in the 1st T20I against Ireland and a lot  more.

After winning the toss, India came out to bat with regular openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Sharma and Dhawan started cautiously with the first over going for only one run. However, once the two had a hang of the situation, they started playing their strokes.

Dhawan was initially more aggressive than Sharma and slammed his way to half century. Rohit Sharma followed suit. However Sharma lived a little dangerously after a couple of catches being dropped. On the contrary, the first chance that Dhawan gave, he was caught.

It was surprise when Suresh Raina came out to bat at one down instead of skipper Virat Kohli. All the same, he could not leave an impact as the southpaw was dismissed after hitting a couple of boundaries.

Most people knew the result of the game before the first ball was bowled and what transpired was in line with the expectations. After the match got over, Dhawan caught up with fellow opening batsman Rohit Sharma as the two discussed about their record 160-run partnership in the 1st T20I against Ireland.

The two talked about the importance of starting strong on a lengthy tour. Dhawan goofed up when he said that Rohit had got the Man of the Match award for his 97-run knock. Rohit corrected his opening partner and said that it was actually Kuldeep who had received the award.

The duo believed that the win against Ireland is a good start before the all-important tour of England. Dhawan ended the chat with Jai Hind!
