Few days back, Afridi took it to social media Twitter to blame the United Nations (UN) and other responsible authorities for not taking any actions against the ‘bloodshed’.
In his tweet, he wrote” Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other international bodies & why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed? “.
But that was maybe not the right thing to do, as Afridi was bashed by many former and current Indian cricketers as well as the general audience. Previously, Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina, Mohammed Kaif and Rajiv Shukla, an official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BBCI) have bashed the former Pakistani cricketer for his words.
Now the Indian opener, Shikhar Dhawan took it to twitter to slam Afridi. In his tweet he wrote, “Pehle khudke desh ki haalat sudharo. Apni soch apne paas rakho. Apne desh ka joh hum kar rahe hai woh acha hi hai aur aage jo karna hai woh humein ache se pata hai. Zyaada dimaag mat lagao @SAfridiOfficial”.
Here is the translation of the tweet:
“First of all, improve the condition of your own country and keep your thoughts to yourself. Whatever we are doing is good for our nation and we are well aware of whatever we are going to do. Therefore, don’t use your brains in our matters”
Here’s the tweet:
Dhawan’s furious reply is sure to incite some response from Afridi!
