Solskjaer on his future: The Manchester United manager, who was appointed until the end of the season in December, talks about his future.
Manchester United have had a solid few weeks under their new manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Norwegian was brought in as the replacement for Jose Mourinho, who left the side in December last year.
The side cruised to victory in all the four games under Solskjaer, scoring 12 goals. The side scored five league goals for the first time since Sir Alex’s farewell match in 2013 in Solskjaer’s debut game in-charge of the club.
As Solskjaer has brought the attacking instinct back to Old Trafford, many fans have called for the former Manchester United star to be appointed as the permanent manager.
Even when the Norwegian manager has expressed his desire to stay at Manchester United beyond this season, he was defensive about his future when asked about the prospect of being at the club after the end of the season in the pre-match conference for the FA Cup clash.
Solskjaer on his future:
Solskjaer has played down the speculations that he could be the permanent manager at Manchester United, stating that the club is ‘going to have a process’ for the appointment of a permanent manager.
“No, no, no it’s early doors,” Solskjaer responded to the question on whether he sees himself staying beyond the season.
Solskjaer on his Man Utd future: “I don’t want to leave. It’s such a great bunch of players, great atmosphere. But it’s the next game, it’s the next game, it’s the next game, and I’m doing my job as long as I’m here.”

👏 Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did something no Man United boss since Sir Matt Busby has ever done (not even David Moyes) and win his first four games in charge…

“Of course, when I came in they were open and honest about, they’re going to have a process, looking for the next manager but the more you’re here, the more you enjoy it,” The Norwegian said.
However, he hinted that he is not entirely out of the race to become the next permanent manager at the club.
“It’s one game at a time and the day they announce the next manager, if it’s me or someone else, good luck,” Solskjaer said.
The manager insisted that he is focussed on his team, and that he’s looking forward to the FA Cup clash.
“I am sure they have targets and I am here to voice my opinion.”

“I don’t look at it that way, I’m quite… I don’t get distracted very easily, I’m very focused I know what my job is.
“My job is Reading, Dubai then Tottenham, it’s not up to me am I up to this – it’s up to someone else.
“I just focus on what my job was as a player and now.”
