"Stephen Curry had a better MVP season than Derrick Rose": NBA fans shockingly give the unanimous MVP the edge over the youngest MVP ever

In a recent event, the internet was comparing two of the most prominent players of the current era, Stephen Curry and Derrick Rose.

Curry and Rose are some of the top players of the current era in the NBA. One of the most common things between the two, among others, is the regular-season MVP award.

While D-Rose became the youngest player to ever win the MVP award at 22, Steph Curry was the first-ever unanimous MVP in the history of the NBA.

Rose was considered as the next big thing in Chicago post-Michael Jordan’s era. His All-Star selection in 2010 made him the first Bulls player to be selected for the event since Michael Jordan in 1998.

The 2010-11 NBA season remains a landmark year for the 3x NBA All-Star. The Chicago Bulls had the best record in the league that year. The team finished with a 62-20 record. It was the Bulls’ first 60 win season since Jordan in 1997-98.

Steph Curry is widely regarded as one of the most influential players in the history of the NBA. The superstar changed the way the game of basketball is played single-handedly.

The 2015-16 NBA season was one of the finest years we had ever seen from an NBA player. The baby-faced assassin was unstoppable, leading the league in scoring as well as steals. Curry was crowned the first-ever unanimous MVP.

The Internet compares the MVP season of Derrick Rose(2010-11) to that of Stephen Curry (2015-16)

D-Rose averaged 25.0 PPG, 7.7 APG, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.0 SPG in the 2010-11 season. The former rookie of the year, shot 44.5% from the field and 85.8% from the free-throw line.

Rose is known to be one of the most athletic players ever to step on the NBA hardwood. His ability to drive to the rim and score was one of a kind.

During the 2015-16 NBA season, Curry averaged 30.1 PPG, 6.7 APG, and 5.4 RPG. The 3x NBA champion shot 50.4% from the field, 45.4% from the 3-point line, and 90.8% from the free-throw line. Thus having the shooting splits of 50-40-90.

Curry had an iconic year with the Warriors during his MVP season. The Bay area team broke the Chicago Bulls record for most no of wins in a season. The Warriors finished the season with a 73-9 record.

The internet had giving Curry the edge with not many takers for Derrick Rose.

Though, the internet may have given its verdict. One cannot deny that Rose was probably the most athletic and fearless point guard when it came to finishing at the rim. Rose’s ACL tear next consecutive year robbed him of his prime to a very large extent.

On the other hand, Steph Curry has clearly changed the landscape of the NBA with his 3-point shooting ability. Truly is one of the most gifted stars of the current era.
