Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan set for a WWE Return

Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan set for a WWE Return. The WWE have announced that the two Icons and a host of other legends will feature on a WWE special titled Raw Reunion.

WWE have recently announced a special episode for their long running Raw series. The episode will see the return of Wrestling legends Stone Cold Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan. Both of these men have to be credited for taking WWE to the heights it is at right now.

Hogan carried the WWE flag for most of the 80’s and was and to some extent still is arguably the most popular wrestler ever. Stone Cold on the other hand, is the reason why the WWE is still alive. With Hogan in the NWO at WCW, WWE was on the verge of being put out of business by Erick Bischoff. However, the Texas rattlesnake captured the hearts and imaginations of a million fans as he beat up Vince McMahon, his boss, every week. A fantasy a lot of people share. And with that the Monday night wars were won by the WWE.

Biggest WWE Reunion

The reunion was announced on Sunday through a promotional video. The Reunion, touted as the largest reunion in WWE history will air on the July 22nd episode of Raw. Other wrestlers teased for the reunion were Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Diesel, Kurt Angle, Sgt. Slaughter, Christian, The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, Eric Bischoff, The Boogeyman, Jimmy Hart, The Hurricane, Santino Marella, Jerry Lawler and D-Von Dudley.

Stone Cold last appeared on WWE during the 25th anniversary special last year. He shared a beer with Vince McMahon and then stunnered him like the good old times. Hogan’s last appearance wasn’t as happy as Austin’s as he appeared to deliver a speech following ‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund’s death.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
