Suresh Raina greets Virat and Anushka after attending the ‘Grand Reception’

Evergreen pair Virat Kohli and Anushka who made a classic return to India after getting married in Tuscany in Central Italy threw a grand reception in New Delhi that saw celebrities turn up in numbers last night at the Durbar Hall at Taj Diplomatic Enclave.

Post their close knit wedding in Italy, the couple went on their honeymoon trip to Finland in Europe. Their selfies became rife all over social media

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi too marked his valuable presence for the grand reception. Amongst Indian players from the current setup, Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina made it to Taj Palace, along with their wives.

Raina posed for some photos alongside Shikhar Dhawan and his wife. After attending the function, Raina took to Twitter to greet the newly-wed Virat and Anushka.

“Glad to be part of your special day @imVkohli & @AnushkaSharma! Wish you both a beautiful life ahead filled with eternal love and companionship!,” Raina wrote.

It was a great day for Suresh Raina, who could make it in time for Virat’s reception, after having cleared the elusive Yo-Yo test yesterday morning at the NCA in Bangalore.

Suresh Raina will now be vying for a place in the limited overs squad for the South African tour.

Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli will fly off to South Africa soon after the Sri Lanka series. The South Africa series begins on the 5th of January.
