The test was conducted earlier today, where Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni were among the various players to undergo the session.

India is presently playing Afghanistan in a historic one-off test match in Chinnaswamy Stadium. But not very far away from the stadium, the stalwarts of Indian cricket, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni underwent a fitness test earlier today. While the results of their fitness test are still awaited, three Indian cricketers successfully cleared the test.

Suresh Raina, Siddarth Kaul and Jasprit Bumrah have cleared their fitness test, which comes as a huge boost to the team as it prepares for a long overseas tour to United Kingdom. It is also significant as India’s key bowler Mohammad Shami failed his ‘Yo-Yo’ test before the Afghanistan test, ruling him out of the match.

India A batsman Sanju Samson also failed his fitness test and was replaced by Ishan Kishan for the tour to England and West Indies.

Siddarth Kaul took to Twitter to announce the news.

Siddarth Kaul received his maiden India call-up last month as the pacer was selected for the T20Is and ODI series against Ireland and England. While Raina is in the squad for the T2OIs against both the nations, Bumrah maintains his place in both the formats.

The test results for other players, including MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, are still awaited.
