Timo Werner Chelsea Transfer Update: What is new in Chelsea’s pursuit for Werner with the Blues reported to land the German striker.
Chelsea has reportedly won the transfer battle to land Timo Werner at the Stamford Bridge after the rumours circulated that Chelsea is ready to match the demands of RB Leipzig.
In the further update given by Liam Twomey has said on twitter “In response to all the requests for Werner updates: Chelsea will meet his release clause and he’s said yes to joining Chelsea.

The speculations of Werner joining Chelsea almost took a U-turn when Leipzig’s club chief said the Chelsea has made no submission to the release clause and contact to the player.
But later, Fabrizio Romano then stated that despite no contracts exchanged and nothing officially signed as Leipzig director told today. But Chelsea have a “verbal agreement” with Timo Werner and they’re convinced he’s on his way to Stamford Bridge for next season. Paperworks are almost ready.

This assurance by Romano calmed down Chelsea fans, the German striker has also reportedly had a conversation with Frank Lampard over his role at the club.
Apparently, he is convinced to leave for Chelsea and would be joining the Blues once the next season starts. Currently, Werner has been engaged with the remaining Bundesliga games, post Coronavirus lockdown.
