Timo Werner Salary: How much will the German striker earn at Chelsea, as the Blues announced his arrival after long transfer saga.

On Thursday, Chelsea announced the completion of the transfer of Timo Werner to Chelsea and the player is set to arrive at London before the end of this month.

According to various sources, Chelsea has agreed to pay €50m (£47.5m) to trigger the release clause of Werner, who is set to dawn the Blues jersey from next season onwards.

Discussing his move to west London, Werner told the official Chelsea website: “I am delighted to be signing for Chelsea, it is a very proud moment for me to be joining this great club.

“I, of course, want to thank RB Leipzig, the club and the fans, for four fantastic years. You will forever be in my heart. I look forward to next season with my new team-mates, my new manager and of course the Chelsea fans. Together we have a very successful future ahead of us.”

How much Werner will earn at Chelsea?

According to a report by the Skysports, Werner will reportedly earn around €10m (£9m) per season in England. This means his weekly wages to be around £173,000.

A total upgrade to his earnings at RB Leipzig which was £94,377 a week. The German International has signed a 5-year-long deal with the West London club.

This is Lampard’s second signing of his career as a manager at Chelsea, due to the transfer ban during last summer didn’t allow him to hire his desirable players, the first signing was Hakim Ziyech.

Will Werner play this edition of Champions League for RB Leipzig?

Most certainly no, because Werner’s arrival at Chelsea is dated by the end of the next month, and the Champions League will most probably start after it.
