Wow! What a match! In what was arguably the best match of the season, Mumbai Indians just fell short of completing a record run chase against Kings XI Punjab at the Wankhede Stadium last night.
In what was a must win match for the Kings XI, Saha and Maxwell led the way as they put on a mammoth 230 runs on the board. Punjab must have felt that they had batted Mumbai out of the game but no one told that to Simmons and Patel as they gave the home side a rollicking start.

But Punjab kept chipping away as Guptil took an incredible catch at the boundary line to dismiss Simmons. Pollard and Pandya then took over as they marched towards the finish line.
Just when it seemed like Mumbai would get over the line, Sandeep and Mohit Sharma bowled two brilliant death overs which finally won the match for Punjab.

Mohit Sharma's masterclass in death bowling against Pollard was special. Guess where he learnt all these tricks? CSK nets against Dhoni 🙂
