Twitter reactions as Toronto Raptors win NBA finals by beating Golden State Warriors in Game 6
Twitter reactions as Toronto Raptors win NBA finals by beating Golden State Warriors in Game 6 in incredible fashion to win it for Canada.
Toronto Raptors have done it! Kawhi Leonard has done it! After ending the Miami dynasty, Kawhi Leonard has now ended the famed Golden State Warriors dynasty. The injuries piled up and it took its toll on the Warriors but take nothing away from the Raptors. They were the better team throughout the series and they’ve done what no one thought was possible by taking this title from Warriors.
There are a lot of emotions going around and people are celebrating the first major title for a team based out of Canada and twitter exploded in joining them and congratulating the Raptors.
Social media is obviously going crazy for the Raptors, a team that has done so much for the sport in Canada. The Raptors had an entire nation rooting for them, 36 million people who got behind the team and made the improbable happen.
Twitter was also aflood with emotion for the Golden State Warriors, who battled through injuries in the NBA finals and still took every game deep, showcasing their championship mentality.
But tonight, it’s all about Raptors, and it will be interesting to see how their star man and the finals MVP shapes up during free agency this summer.
