Twitter reactions on Sehwag's 40th Birthday

Twitter reactions on Sehwag’s 40th Birthday: Fans and friends were excited on Twitter as Virender Sehwag turns 40 today.

Former India swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag has turned 40 today. Post his retirement from international cricket in 2015, Sehwag has been a regular face on social media platform Twitter, often known for his hysterical tweets regarding former cricketers and other general issues.

Having made his ODI debut against Pakistan at Mohali in 1999, Sehwag ended up becoming one of India’s best opening batsman in Test cricket. Known for his ability of taking on the  bowlers from the word go, Sehwag was a threat at the top of the order for the opposition team.

Like what he usually does, the same is what he has been receiving since morning on his birthday across various social media platforms.

Over his 14-year long international career, Sehwag amassed over 17,000 runs and dismissed 136 opposition batsmen at the highest level. Sehwag has the record of scoring the most runs by an Indian opener in Test cricket, fifth-highest overall. Sehwag was part of the Indian teams which won the respective World Cups in 2007 and 2011.
