Well that’s that!

The entire build up surrounding India’s tour to South Africa revolved around how this Indian side was different, and how they can not only challenge but win in foreign conditions.
To be fair, this Indian side has a better bowling unit that previous sides, as they picked up 40 South African wickets in the first two test matches. But unfortunately for India, their batting unit let the team down, as India folded easily to hand over the series to the Proteas.
Apart from Pandya’s belligerent 93 in the first test, and Kohli’s epic 153 in Centurion, no other Indian batsman showed any sort of confidence, as the South African bowlers made light work of the Indian batsmen.
Here are the twitter reactions for India’s crushing loss in the second test match!

A much anticipated series and it ends in an easy win for South Africa. I thought this was India’s best chance but how wrong that was!!

Indian batsmen should realize that they were living under an illusion till now. India became so over confident with the home form of their batsmen that they just focussed on finding the right bowlers and preparing them for this tour. #INDvSA #FreedomSeries

South Africa a team with eleven athletes; India with less than half those numbers. Catching and athleticism key diff between teams in series. #INDvSA

I really don’t think the SA bowling is that great. We missed out on the opportunities. We are a far better batting side than we showed. #INDvSA
