Indian fans were in for a shock at the toss, as Rohit Sharma strode out with JP Duminy in to the middle. Virat Kohli’s stiff back meant that Rohit was going to lead his side in this deciding T20I match.
Rohit did not perform though, as the opener was trapped in front by Dala. The Mumbai batsman’s face told the entire story, as he departed for yet another poor showing with the bat on this tour.
It has been a thoroughly disappointing tour for Rohit, as other than one hundred in Port Elizabeth, the batsman has had a terrible time with the bat.
Hardik Pandya was also lambasted on Twitter, as the all-rounder once again failed with the bat. Pandya has not contributed as a batsman on this tour, and has come in for much criticism from all quarters.
Here are the best Twitter reactions!
Rohit Sharma in overseas as useless as "ueue" in "Queue"

Runs and centuries are not everything. Rohit Sharma valiantly faced the wrath of Junior Dala while Virat Kohli ran away. True hero Rohit.

Rohit Sharma needs just 1231 runs to complete 1500 runs on the tour. #SAvIND

Instead of the Indian team, Rohit Sharma should tour abroad only with Cox & Kings.

Hardik Pandya – played every game on the tour and did it all – batted, bowled, fielded, sledged, changed hair colour #SAvIND

Let me confess…I never thought that Rohit will have this kind of scores in white ball cricket in South Africa. Much better than just one meaningful score in 9 innings. #SAvIND
