Rajnesh, Abdusalam Gadisov and Sofia Mattson gave Haryana a 3-2 lead with wins over their respective Mumbai Maharathis opponents. The victory was sealed by Rio Olympics bronze medalist Marwa Amri of Tunnisia with a 5-0 won over Sarita to gove Haryana an unbeatable 4-2 lead.

The match which did not live up to expectations was the 97kg bout between 2015 World Championship Silver medalist Abdusalam Gadisov of Russia and Bronze medalist Pavlo Oliynik of Ukraine. Gadisov easily won the match 6-0.
