Tyson Fury vows to destroy ‘Gutless’ Anthony Joshua inside three rounds

Tyson Fury vows to destroy ‘Gutless’ Anthony Joshua inside three rounds when the pair finally meet after five years of anticipation for their showdown.

Tyson Fury claimed the top spot in boxing after he beat Deontay Wilder to claim the WBC belt. The pair will go at each other once again due to contractual obligations. However, the Gypsy king has already called out the man he wants to face next.

Fury has slammed Anthony Joshua for avoiding a possible showdown between the two. He revealed that he has been attempting to secure a match for the last five years to no results. Fans have been yearning to see the battle between the two that would see the victor be crowned the unified and undisputed world champion.

The winner also be able to lay claim to the title of the greatest boxer of this generation. However, Fury believes that if and when the match does go through, he will emerge the victor within just three rounds due to Joshua’s poor footwork.

‘Eddie Hearn talks a lot of hot air as usual,’ he told Redknapp’s Home Fixture on Sky Sports. ‘I’ve been offering to fight Joshua for quite a while. I’ve been trying to make that fight happen for the last five years. And it’s not happened at all.

‘Eddie’s obviously Joshua’s promoter, so he’ll have to be speaking to my team to make the fight happen, give the fans what they want and stop running away from the biggest fight since Lennox [Lewis] fought Frank Bruno. Have the guts to step up to the plate and get flattened, son!’

‘AJ’s style is tailor-made for mine,” he added.

‘He’s an upright fighter walking forward with a classic defence. Strong and powerful. He’s got no footwork, hardly any resilience. And he’s a bit gutless when it comes down to getting clipped.

‘I think I’d knock him out in round two, three rounds. First time I connect on him, his legs will do a dance and I’ll just jump on him like the little fat kid did in America that time.’.

Boxing like most other sporting events around the world has been suspended at the moment. However, when boxing does return, the pair will still have to win their respective upcoming matches.

Fury will go against Wilder while Joshua faces Bulgarian brute Kubrat Pulev. Then perhaps, the fans could be treated to what could possibly go down as the biggest fight of this generation.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
