Now he has done it again. According to reports, the UFC superstar earned the most money per minute of competition, be it inside the ring or in an MMA cage. McGregor makes around $6,600,000 per minute and made around $1 million in 9 seconds in his previous bout against Dustin Poirier, which he lost last year.
With this milestone, the former UFC lightweight champion has surpassed the likes of other famous combat sports athletes, including Jake Paul, Tyson Fury, Canelo Alvarez, and more. He even beat football giants like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, per the reports.
‘The Notorious’ has been out of action for over a year
In July of 2021, the Irish star suffered a horrific leg injury in his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier. This injury has kept the pay-per-view star out of action for over a year now.
However, McGregor has fully recovered from it. He even hinted to join the USADA testing pool in February. Thus, it can be speculated that he might return to the octagon in the fourth quarter of 2024.
