The protege of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Umar Nurmagomedov is undefeated since his debut in the promotion and at UFC Vegas 67 maintained his streak. His performance has impressed many fans. Thus, the former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov billed him as the ‘new business’ in the UFC.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has been training his cousin Umar for a long time now. He also corners him during his fights. However, after his recent departure from all aspects of MMA Khabib wasn’t in Umar’s corner for UFC Vegas 67.

Despite that, the Russian UFC bantamweight displayed an amazing performance. He looked very confident since the first belt. Umar opened up quickly and ended the fight within four minutes of the first round by landing a vicious left.

Following his victory, Khabib took to his official Twitter account and shared a picture of Umar with Dana White. In the caption he wrote, “If you don’t know, now you know )) Business is coming))) @danawhite@seanshelby@UNmgdv.” He also tagged White in the post. Khabib also posted a video of the finish on his official Instagram page with a caption that says, “statement.”

Currently, the Russian fighter holds an undefeated professional MMA record of 16-0 under his name. He is 4-0 in the UFC. Umar made his debut in 2021 with a stunning finishing that won him a $50k (Performance of the Night) bonus.

Umar also won a $50k (Fight of the Night) bonus for his victory today. He currently stands number 11 in the bantamweight division. However, after this victory, it remains to see if he rises to the rankings.
