Aljamain Sterling is Mulling Over The Interim Title Following The Postponement Of His Fight With Petr Yan
Aljamain Sterling is mulling over the Interim title, now that his fight with Petr Yan is moved further to an anonymous date.
After the planned bout against Petr Yan for the Bantamweight title got scrapped from the UFC 256 card, Aljamain Sterling is mulling over the left opportunities for him. Though his status as the No.1 contender might remain intact, but he seemingly wants to fight and apparently has the Interim title in his mind.
While the fight was itself a replacement for the initially targeted contest between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns, now it also being wiped out from the fight sheet is an apparent affair of ecstasy to agony for the Funk Master, as he got the shot after weeks of campaigning and after a constant back-and-forth on Twitter with Petr Yan.
However, now the slot has been filled by the Flyweight attraction Deiveson Figueiredo.

So, meanwhile Aljamain Sterling is left to contemplate about the time that he would be losing out. On Sunday he took to Twitter to express his state, and seemingly cut out a distraught figure.
While he expressed his concern for Petr Yan in one post, in another he conveyed, there are endless possibilities which can be approached, however, he is clueless over where to go from here.
“I really don’t know what to do with myself right now… hmm. The possibilities are endless…”

Before this he laid out a cryptic post which gives an impression that with the champion not available to compete, Sterling would possibly seek the Interim championship.
