'Conor McGregor's gonna show up and fight'- Dana White Gives An Update On The Conor McGregor Vs. Dustin Poirier Fight

Dana White lays out an update on the Conor McGregor Vs. Dustin Poirier fight. The Lightweight contest is targeted to headline UFC 257.

After an exciting phase which brought out that Dustin Poirier has officially agreed to the terms to fight Conor McGregor on January 23, 2021, it seems there’s again a lull in the proceedings, as Conor McGregor is yet to sign the fight agreement, and until that remains static, the match-up won’t get the official stamp.

However, the only living body who can give credible knowledge about the status of the fight is none other than the UFC president Dana White. And the UFC chief did exactly that in a recent interaction with ESPN.

Dana White Gives An Update On The Conor McGregor Vs. Dustin Poirier Fight

Speaking with ESPN, Dana White previewed the looming Fight night event UFC Vegas 14, and after a brief breakdown of the upcoming event, White provided an update about the much anticipated Conor McGregor Vs. Dustin Poirier fight.

On being asked about, whether Conor McGregor has given his written nod to go up against Dustin Poirier. Dana said, “I don’t know the answer to that question right now. I’m not worried about it. Conor McGregor has never said ‘listen I want to fight’. Gone out the way he’s gone out talked about it, we got him his own date. Conor McGregor’s gonna show up and fight.

“I’m not worried about his spot agreement, but I don’t know if it’s been signed. I’m assuming it has, it wasn’t the other day. When I text that the fight wasn’t done yet.”

So, the fight isn’t official yet, but as White stated that he’s not worried about Conor not signing the deal, and moreover, considering the Notorious one’s own recent outright claims about wanting to comeback, one may presume, it’s just a matter of time before Conor McGregor Vs. Dustin Poirier rematch gets the confirmation mark.
