Daniel Cormier vs Stipe Miocic trilogy announced by Dana White

Both Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic have done enough in their career to genuinely lay claim to the title of the greatest heavyweight in UFC history. However, it is only one who will go down as the greatest.

Both fighters have a victory apiece. The pair first met at UFC 226 in July 2018.  Miocic was riding on the back of the greatest number of heavyweight defences. Cormier, the then light heavyweight champion, knocked Miocic in the first round itself to become the 2nd UFC fighter to hold two belts at the same time.

The pair clashed again last August at UFC 241. This time Cormier was sent packing by Miocic who won his title back.

The pair will go head to head one last time, with a lot more than just the title on the line. This will be Cormier’s last match regardless of the result. Miocic on the other hand, will want to do everything in his power to make it a memorable exit from the sport for him.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
