Francis Ngannou thinks Jon Jones will succeed in Heavyweight Division as well. The expression came after Jon Jones made the ultimate move to move up the order in the weight class.
Jon Jones is now officially a part of the Heavyweight division, and while there are many who might think Bones’ decision to vacate the Light Heavyweight Title is not the right call, however Francis Ngannou, who may potentially pose a challenge for Jones in the heavyweight division, believes Jon Jones will create an impact reminiscent of what he created in the Light Heavyweight division.
Jon Jones is 26-1, and was the reigning Light Heavyweight champion since 2018.

Francis Ngannou Thinks Jon Jones Will Succeed In Heavyweight Division
Francis Ngannou in a chat with Ariel Helwani, of ESPN, touched upon various subjects such as, his fundraising event next week, Cormier, Miocic fight, his almost certain future fight against Stipe Miocic for the UFC Heavyweight Title, and also commented about Jon Jones entering the Heavyweight division.
The Predator is the no.1 contender for the heavyweight title, he is vouched by Dana White himself to be the rightful person for that tag, and will face Stipe Miocic eventually before anyone else. More than anybody he himself is 100% confident that he will fight Stipe next. However, that fight will take time to become official, in the meanwhile he is updated with the recent developments around Jon Jones, and has shown respect towards the 33-year-old’s ultimate move to go up in the weight division.
Francis Ngannou said, “I think Heavyweight might be even easier for Jon Jones than Light Heavyweight. Obviously Heavyweight, they hit harder, but it’s not the same technique, it’s not the same fight IQ.”
In the same conversation, Ngannou also said, if he wins the heavyweight title, he would like to face Derrick Lewis or Jon Jones for his title defense.
