After a dominant performance at UFC 251, Kamaru Usman has proved he has the nerves to highlight a Pay-Per-View event. So, to carry this forward, who is next in line for him, for the next ppv event?
Gilbert Burns who was all set to face the welterweight champion at UFC 251, where unfortunately COVID-19 hampered his plans, is again in the premier picture to face Kamaru Usman, once he (Usman) will be back available. However, there is another name in the form of Leon Edwards, who is also knocking at the door for quite some time. He also presents his candidature to become the No.1 contender for the Welterweight title. However, Dana White has already named Burns as the next challenger. Yet, uncertainty lies everywhere, that too when nothing is official yet.
Leon Edwards, who has an 8-match winning streak to his name, and flashes an overall record of 18-3, has also been vocal about about his presence in the title contention, via. social media.

Recently, Ariel Helwani and Daniel Cormier via. DC & Helwani, also got engaged in a debate regarding who should eventually get the chance. While Cormier believed that Burns is the stand-alone contender, Helwani thinks Leon Edwards has impressive credentials to go atop, even though he has faced Kamaru Usman before in 2015 and lost the match back then.
So, the debate may pick more steam. Meanwhile, Burns or Edwards, who do you reckon?
