Mike Tyson, Dana White

Dana White’s Power Slap League has been subjected to a lot of criticism ever since its release in January earlier this year. While the competition has gained a lot of traction online, fans and critics have raised many questions regarding its safety. However, the questions have always been silenced by Dana White, who has claimed to minimize the risk as much as it could’ve been. But that doesn’t seem to have had any effect to lower the criticism for the competition, which is still considered unsafe by many.

Interestingly, Mike Tyson also received a fair share of criticism recently thanks to White’s Power Slap League.

Fans react to Mike Tyson supporting Dana White’s Power Slap League

Legendary boxer Mike Tyson and Dana White have been good friends for a while now. While the two often do each other favors, ‘Iron Mike’ recently became a fan enemy after seemingly supporting the Power Slap League.

Tyson took to his Instagram to promote the competition and fans seemed to have not liked the same. Reacting to it, fans have taken shots at the legendary boxer for supporting what seems to be Dana White’s $100 million “idiocracy”.

Take a look at some of the fan reactions below:

A fan asked Tyson if he received money for promoting this. He wrote, “How much are they paying you Mike because surely you’d never promote this nonsense.”

Another fan, while expressing his disgust, wrote, “What in the Idiocracy is this?”

One fan said this is not a sport and also criticized Tyson. He wrote, “It’s not a sport it’s stupidity, Mike you should know better, or is this your way of getting negative response so it can be shut down.”

Another fan told Tyson the consequences of the slap. He wrote, “Brain damage posturing. This shit is bad. Don’t promote it.”

Is Dana White’s Power Slap League worth $100 million?

Dana White is certainly someone who knows how to make a good business. The UFC president has completely switched the landscape of MMA and saw something special in the sport when it was considered to be rather dreadful.

White is trying to do the same with the Power Slap League and, despite receiving a lot of criticism for it, he is adamant about making it work. Interestingly, it looks like Dana White has already recovered the amount invested in the competition.

In a video posted by Grant Cardone, Dana White spoke about how successful his new venture has been and made a shocking revelation. While speaking about how much the Power Slap League is worth, he claimed that the competition is already worth over $100 million. He said:

“Right here, right now, it’s worth a couple 100 million dollars. We got out 10 million dollars back.”

While there is no confirmation as to whether or not the numbers stated by Dana White are true or not, there is no denying the fact that it has been going viral on social media, which is certainly helping it to grow exponentially.

What are your thoughts on Dana White’s Power Slap League? What do you guys think about Tyson’s post?
