The biggest MMA promotion is back with another blockbuster PPV event built around the UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, UFC 293. The event will take place on Saturday 9th September in Sydney, Australia. The fans are curious about what the fighter’s purse and payouts will be since one of the richest and highest earners of the promotion will be fighting in the main event. The biggest draw of the card Israel Adesanya will defend his middleweight title against Sean Strickland in the main event.

The co-main event features heavyweight fighters Tai Tuivasa and Alexander Volkov going head-to-head. The prelim for the fight will start at 6:30 PM Eastern Time, which will be followed by the undercard at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. Moreover, the main event is going to commence around 10 PM Eastern Time.

UFC 293: Israel Adesanya vs. Sean Strickland purse

The UFC middleweight champion snatched victory against one of his fiercest rivals, the Brazilian Alex Pereira, in his previous fight. Now he will be aiming to defend his title against #5 seeded middleweight, Sean Strickland.

As per a report from Sports Payouts, ‘The Last Stylebender’ will earn around $1,000,000 for appearing in the main event. Moreover, he will earn a $100,000 win bonus if he wins and $42,000 in sponsorship. On the other hand, Strickland will earn $500,000 from this fight and will earn $100,000 as a bonus if he wins the fight. He will also make $32,000 from his sponsorship bonus.

The heavyweight Tuivasa will earn $300,000 as his salary and $10,000 as a sponsorship bonus. Whilst his opponent Volkov will earn $500,000 from his salary and $20,000 from sponsorship deals. The fighter who wins the co-main event will fetch $100,000 as a win bonus.

Manel Kape, who was going to fight Kai kara-France, will earn $44,000 and another $5,000 in sponsorships. Whilst, his replacement opponent Felipe dos Santos will earn $12,000 as salary and another $4,000 in sponsorship bonus.

UFC light heavyweight fighter Carlos Ulberg will earn $75,000 aiming for a fifth straight win and another $5,000 in sponsorship deals. Whereas, his opponent Jun Da-Un, who is on a two-fight losing streak, will earn $48,000 as salary and another $5,000 in sponsorship deals.

Moreover, it is always interesting to bet on a card where Israel Adesanya is fighting. Recently, Drake himself placed a huge bet on Adesanya to win against Strickland. Thus, a subset of fans are also on the lookout for betting odds for the Main card fights.

Betting Odds

Unsurprisingly, Israel Adesanya stands as the favorite with -650 odds. On the other hand, his opponent, Sean Strickland, is the underdog with +475 odds.

For the co-main event, Alexander Volkov is the favorite with -250 odds and his opponent Tuivasa stands at +210 odds. Whereas, Manel Kape is the favorite to win with -423 against Dos Santos who has the odds of +323.

While some might believe that it will be a straightforward win for Adesanya, Strickland will do everything in his power to mount an upset. However, both fighters will be paid a good amount for cutting weight and entering the octagon.
