“Supposed to Be in Training”: Fans React as Conor McGregor Flaunts ‘Proper 12’ at BKFC 41

BKFC 41 was one of the biggest bare-knuckle fighting events that took place inside the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. The amazing lineup, which featured the former UFC champion and other celebrities, led to a lot of buzz around the event. Surprisingly, Conor McGregor, a former UFC two-division champion, increased the enthusiasm by attending the event. Eddie Alvarez and Chad Mendes, two of McGregor’s former adversaries who he defeated in his UFC tenure, squared off in the co-main event of BKFC 41. The event’s main attractions were Mike Perry and Luke Rockhold, a former middleweight champion of the UFC.

 

The largest bare-knuckle fighting promotion, BKFC, is undoubtedly gaining popularity as many of the top names in combat sports make the switch. By attending BKFC 41, even McGregor has now drawn attention to the combat sports subgenre.

Conor McGregor attends BKFC 41

‘The Notorious’ is currently out of action ever since he suffered a leg break last year in a fight against rival Dustin Poirier. However, he still maintains his presence in the media with his activities outside the cage.

Last week, McGregor attended one of the biggest boxing events of the year, Ryan Garcia vs. Gervonta Davis in Las Vegas. McGregor today attended the BKFC 41. The crowd went bizarre as soon as the UFC superstar entered the building.

The former UFC champion can be seen greeting people at the event. He also popped a bottle of Proper 12 and flaunted it at the audience. Here’s how the fans reacted to it online:

One fan mocked McGregor for attending the event instead of preparing for his comeback. He said, “Isn’t he supposed to be in training camp.”

Another fighter speculated that McGregor won’t be fighting soon. He said, “Hes not fighting any time soon lol.” 

One fighter talked about his previous opponents fighting at the event. He wrote, “conor: my two sons are fighting.” 

“Livin the life,” wrote a fan who was impressed by McGregor’s lifestyle.

Apart from McGregor, other UFC stars, including former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, former interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, and Donald Cerrone, were also the attendee at BKFC 41.

McGregor will return to UFC soon

Ever since ‘The Notorious’ recovered from the leg break, he is talking about his UFC comeback. Interestingly, the UFC earlier this year that McGregor will headline a pay-per-view soon against former lightweight title challenger Michael Chandler.

Both the combatants have also finished filming for the upcoming season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ as team leads. However, there is not much update yet about their fight. However, it is most likely to happen this year.
