Stockton’s own Nate Diaz has made it in the news as he is all over social media. The news recently broke out that Nate Diaz and Jake Paul will fight in a Boxing ring on August 5th in Texas. The news was and wasn’t a surprise to many, as this was going to happen one day or the other. Both the teams, Team Paul and Team Diaz, went at it backstage a few days ago at an event. This news, however, can make the fans wonder if Nate Diaz has ever been knocked out in his MMA career.
Nate Diaz is known to have a great ability to take punishment inside the octagon. He and his brother Nick Diaz are amongst the toughest fighters to enter the octagon.
Has Nate Diaz ever got knocked out?
As surprising as it may sound both ways, Nate Diaz has been knocked out only once in his entire career in MMA. The head kick from Josh Thomson is the only KO/TKO that Nate Diaz has in his entire career. This wasn’t a knock-out where Diaz was out cold. It was more of a TKO and the only one in his career.
Nate Diaz is known to have an incredible chin and endurance for days. 5 round fights are where the Diaz brothers thrive. Their cardio gets better as they go on, and they are known to put a pace on their opponents.
Nate Diaz’s toughness comes from his mentality and his preparedness for fights. He runs triathlons all the time when the endurance is tested on another level. The triathlons consist of running, swimming and cycling over a long period of time without a break.
Having a great chin is the reason for Nate Diaz not getting knocked out even after getting a lot of punishment from his opponents. The endurance comes from running triathlons. There have been stoppages in Nate Diaz’s career, but those weren’t KO/TKO stoppages.
Can Jake Paul knock out Nate Diaz?
The big news is Jake Paul and Nate Diaz are all set to fight inside the boxing ring on August 5th. These two had their back and forth and this was going to happen someday. As Nate Diaz is now a free agent, he can fight anywhere he likes to.

The question remains can Jake Paul knock out Nate Diaz as he did Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Anderson Silva? It’s hard to predict a knockout or a win for Jake Paul in this one. Nate Diaz won’t get knocked out is what many fans believe. Nate Diaz will put pressure on Jake Paul, and he has enough time to prepare for this fight.
The fight should not fall apart as the time gap is huge. The also is needed for Nate Diaz to prepare as he is changing the sport all together. Though in combat, Boxing and MMA are two different sports with different sets of rules and skillet required is different as well. Let’s see how Nate Diaz prepares for this fight.
