Valkyrae: Everything you need to know about the 100Thieves streamer

Streaming is becoming increasingly popular as an occupation in the world. The lockdown period has also seen the rise of various streamers, one of them includes Valkyrae. 

Many new streamers and content creators are on the cusp of popularity. Sykkuno, Pokimane, Corspe Husband, Valkyrae and many others are becoming household names. Valkyrae is someone who has had quite a rise and is one of the top streamers in the Esports and gaming world. Let’s take a look at one of established streamers of today

Valkyrae: Early days –

Her real name is Rachell Hofstetter and she was born in in Washington in the US. While attending community college, she worked at GameStop. It was here that her tryst with the gaming world began. She started playing popular games like Bloodborne and The Walking Dead.

Initially she used to upload on her Instagram gaming channel, but soon made the jump to Twitch. It was at Twitch, her streaming career took off and she earned quite the fan following. Valkyrae is an advocate for women in online gaming, sometimes playing games on all-female teams.

Collaborations, YouTube and 100Thieves –

In her Twitch days she soon started collaborating with popular streamers such as Cizzorz, Myth and also Pokimane. She often features on Among Us games with Pokimane, Corspe, Sykunno, Toast, PewDiePie, etc.

In January 2020, she announced that she had signed a multi year deal to stream exclusively on YouTube. But before all this in 2018, Valkyrae signed with the Esports organizations 100Thieves. Her role is of a content creator and gamer. By doing this she became the organizations first female content creator.

Her hard work is not going unnoticed as on multiple occasions she was nominated for awards. She is currently nominated for the ‘Content Creator of the Year’ award in the Game Awards.

Valkyrae net worth and sub count –

As of now on her YouTube channel she has 2.3 million subscribers. and close to 100 million views. It’s hard to say how much she is worth but some sources estimate it to be around $1-2 million.

In a video titled “What’s Valkyrae’s Net Worth” she says that she earns enough to live comfortably. Further adding that after her mom lost her job, Valkyrae paid off her debts and bills with the money she earned from streaming and videos.
