Valorant 6.0 Patch Notes Reveal Split Changes and Omen Nerf

First, we are going to cover the newest Split changes. They have changed three significant areas on the map to make it a little more balanced for both sides.

The first change is at A main. They have expanded the area to give the attackers more breathing room and angles to peek at. Next is A tower where they removed the jump-up from the trash can, which gives the defenders unfair angles over the entry. This will balance the A site and open up new plays.

Next is B site, where they have expanded the cubby on hell to give more angles to defenders to cover the entrance to the site. In terms of B tower, they have again removed the jump-up to prevent unfair angles, which players can abuse with a shotgun.

Lastly, we will cover the Mid area. This feels like an aesthetic change as they have made the jump up into a box. Now let us cover the Omen Nerf.

Bind and Breeze have been removed from the Map Rotation.

Omen Nerf

  • Dark Cover that attaches to the walls will now fall to the nearby ground’s height.

In simple words, this means that you cannot use Omen one way now. This will drastically affect pro-plays and post-plants. It will be interesting to see how pros use Omen now.

 Competitive Changes

Along with the rank reset. There are two more changes.

  • The RR will now depend more on Wins/Losses rather than the round differential of the match.
  • The RR will also look at individual performance; this will be good for people who sometimes get stuck with bad teammates.

These are all the changes for the new Valorant update. Are you excited for Split to return? Let us know in the comments below!
