Vince McMahon throws fit, sends Keith Lee, Otis and others to performance center for in-ring training

Vince McMahon throws fit, sends Keith Lee, Otis and others to performance center for in-ring training. The WWE Chairman is displeased with their working ability.

Vince McMahon has reportedly ordered a few big men in the WWE to undergo further training at the performance centre. One of those names surprisingly happens to be Keith Lee. NXT’s first ever double champion has been deemed not good enough inside the ring by the WWE Chairman according this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer wrote in his report:

“Vince McMahon threw a fit about the working ability of certain guys on the main roster, mad in particular about some of the big guys. He’s ordered some of the guys back to the Performance Center with two classes per week with Adam Pearce and Drew Gulak as instructors.”

This report was immediately followed up by Mike Johnson at PWInisider who wrote:

“Otis, Keith Lee, Dabbo Kato, Dio Maddin and AJ Styles’ bodyguard Omos are among the contingent that the company has been working with on improving and refining their work inside the ring with those talents taking part in regular workouts at the WWE Performance Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays.“

Vince McMahon has been tinkering with Keith Lee

This has sent shockwaves in the wrestling community, many of whom have long believed that the WWE has been slowly taking away from Keith Lee. From his clothing to his music, Lee has been slowly undergoing changes from his NXT days.

Many pacified themselves into believing that it was better to be presented differently than to not be presented at all. Furthermore, there was news that there were plans to push him with a rocket strapped to his back. Instead he has now been given a shameful demotion reportedly due to his working ability off all things!

One of Lee’s allure is his ability to work like a man half his size and still look imposing. This news be somewhat digestible if the WWE only adds to his skillsets and not take any off of it. We already have enough big men in the mould of mountains. Lee is like a meteor, big, strong, fast and if it hits you, you’re not getting up. Don’t take that away from him.

Another name that immediately begs your attention is Otis. Here’s another man who was reportedly in line for a huge push in the WWE. In fact, he even won the Money in the Bank briefcase this year. In his case however, it makes sense if the WWE want him to move on from the comedy prototype and slowly move up the card.

The other guys on the list have transitioned from other sports so it’s not much of a bother. Otis is also somewhat understandable. Keith Lee is what has ticked the wrestling community off. At this point, we can only wait and see how this pans out.

This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
