Virat Kohli and Kevin Pietersen's Twitter banter

Virat Kohli and Kevin Pietersen’s Twitter banter: The Indian captain shared a funny moment with the former England cricketer.

India captain Virat Kohli and former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen shared a funny moment on social media platform Twitter. The heartening Twitter banter ended on the same note after Pietersen expressed his love for the Indian cricketer.

It all started after Kohli uploaded a photo on his official Twitter account. The 30-year old cricketer was seen relaxing in shorts and a henley t-shirt with his shades on. “Basking in the sun,” read the caption of Kohli’s post.

Partially in the sun and partially in the shade, Pietersen noticed the contrasting caption and photo in Kohli’s post. Quick to point out the same, Pietersen commented on Kohli’s post. “Looks a bit like you’re more in the shade, bro!,” read his tweet.

Replying back, the Indian captain also saw the funny side of the post. Talking specifically about the caption, Kohli said that the first one which he used was ‘much worse’. Kohli also didn’t shy away from disclosing his earlier caption.

Pietersen ended up putting a halt to the conversation saying that he will let Kohli off because he loves him.

Perhaps, Kohli’s photo was clicked during the Indian team’s journey from Napier to Mount Maunganui, where New Zealand and India will play the second and third ODI on Saturday and Monday respectively.

What followed for an 8-year-old was an instant adulation for both Ganguly and the sport. The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title. When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
