Virat Kohli, who sustained a neck injury in the match against SRH at Bangalore, is slowly recovering and was spotted at the nets for the first time after his injury.

Many already know that Kohli has shifted to Mumbai after his wedding with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Kohli was spotted at the Bandra Kurla Complex on Wednesday to train as per Times of India reports. Assistant coach of Indian cricket team Sanjay Bangar also accompanied the Indian Captain.

Recently, it came to light that Kohli would have to miss his County stint for Surrey due to neck injury. There was a lot of hype around Kohli’s County stint for Surrey. Cricket pundits applauded his move to prepare himself well in order to put up a good show in the Test series against England. On the other hand, the idea of the Indian Captain missing the one off Test against Afghanistan did not go down well with some.

As per reports, Kohli is seeing an orthopaedic surgeon in Mumbai concerning a back injury. While Mumbai Mirror reported that Kohli was diagnosed a herniated disc which could lead to his missing the Test series in August if he is not careful with his workload, other reports state otherwise.

As per a report published in the Times of India, “He’s (Kohli) begun with a relatively lighter stint at the indoor nets. In a couple of days, he’ll be back on the field. By the end of the first two weeks (of June) – around the 15th – he’ll be in Bangalore for the fitness test and to begin training.”

If reports are to be believed, Kohli will undergo a fitness test on June 15th. After he starts to feel a little better in a couple of weeks or so, Kohli will leave for National Cricket Academy in Bangalore for the fitness test. The results of the tests will decide whether or not Kohli will be available for India’s tour of England.
