There are so much of things that shed light on the Eden Gardens Test between India and Sri Lanka. Rain spells at the start, heated exchanges among the players but that doesn’t take away from the fact that both the teams produced some top-notch performances.

India set up a target of 231 for the visitors. Sri Lanka tottered to stick to the wicket on the final day as the Indians made changes according to the conditions to good effect.

Sri Lanka lost four wickets against India and they badly required someone to restore things back to normal. Niroshan Dickwella and Dinesh Chandimal hunkered in there.

In pursuit of chasing the total, as soon as Dickwella came in out to bat, he played some fantastic shots leaving the Indians in chaos. Kohli had to come up with new plans.

India pressed Sri Lanka constantly and picked 7 wickets to see the match in a draw. However, an extra 5-6 overs could have had a different result on Day 5.
