Indian captain Virat Kohli’s wax statue that was unveiled at the Madame Tussauds Museum on Wednesday has suffered minor damages.

Kohli recently joined the elite league of sportsmen including Kapil Dev and Usain Bolt to have their wax statues placed at the Madame Tussauds museum. As expected, fans flocked in huge numbers to have a look at their favourite cricketer’s statue.
However, with increasing number of fans there is always potential of damage to the statue. Unfortunately, this is what happened in Virat’s case as the statue’s face suffered minor damages. However, it has been fixed now.

“Yes, it was damaged. But now the statue has been rectified. Kohli’s statue ear was damaged due to some reason. We have fixed it immediately and fans are most welcome to visit the museum to take the photos with the India captain’s statue,” an official noted.

Kohli had earlier thanked Madame Tussauds for installing his statue and expressed his appreciation for their efforts.

“I sincerely appreciate the efforts and incredible work undergone in making my figure. Thanks to Madame Tussauds for choosing me for this lifetime experience. I am grateful to my fans for their love and support.

“This experience is going to be stored in the fond memories of my life…now waiting to see the fan reactions,” Kohli said appreciating Madame Tussauds.

“Virat is today’s cricket star and has a huge fan following across the globe. The growing love for him amongst his fans made him obvious choice for Madame Tussauds, Delhi. We are certain that this figure will add new charm to the sports zone,” the General Manager and Director of Merlin Entertainments India Pvt. Ltd. Anshul Jain said.
