It all happened on the second delivery of the 27th over. Afghanistan batsmen- Rahmat Shah and the 18-year-old wicket-keeper batsman Ikram Ali Khil were well on course towards chasing down 311 posted by the Windies in the first innings. The duo had in fact stitched together a 133-run partnership for the second wicket.
But, just then, out of the Blue, Chris Henry Gayle aka the Universe Boss, took a good low catch off Carlos Brathwaite’s bowling to dismiss Rahmat Shah for a well made 62 off 78 deliveries.
Out comes the set of push-ups
Talking about the delivery, Brathwaite bowled a well disguised slower delivery to Shah, only for the latter to get a leading edge towards the Big man at extra cover. Gayle, put in a good full length dive and what followed was pure entertainment of the highest order from the big Windies men.
After lying there for a brief moment, Chris finally gets up and as if planned well before hand, both he and Brathwaite start doing the push-ups- total six sets of them to be precise, as the other teammates surround them in amusement.
