Watch: Cristiano Ronaldo smokes Gonzalo Higuain in Juventus sprint test as the Portuguese returns for training after a victorious Nations League campaign.
Cristiano Ronaldo is a beast of a man. At 34 he is fitter and faster than guys who are way younger than him. The Portuguese has shown no signs of slowing down as he returned to training with his team Juventus.

The Portuguese jewel recently led his country at the UEFA Nations League and came home victorious. Ronaldo will now try to replicate the same with Juventus. The star will have big names in new recruits giving him company this time round though.
Juventus have purchased Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot, Gianluigi Buffon, Cristian Romero, Luca Pellegrini and Merah Demiral so far this summer. Ajax skipper Matthijs de Ligt is expected to join them soon.
With a revamped squad, Juventus will hope to mount a better challenge for the UEFA champions league this season. The big one that Ronaldo wants to win with his new club. The man will have to play a major role this season to that end. And from the looks of it, Cristiano Ronaldo looks ready.
Ronaldo recently returned to Turin to train with the squad. Juventus have posted videos from the training session on their Twitter handle. One such video shows Ronaldo sprinting like a cheetah hunting its prey.
The video starts with Gonzalo Higuain who attempts the sprint first. The Argentine paces somewhat slowly before picking steam at the end as he dashes past the man standing in front of him.
Cristiano Ronaldo then does the same but what follows next simply puts Higuain to shame. Ronaldo runs the sprint with the same intensity from the beginning to the end and much faster as well. If we didn’t know better, we’d assume Higuain was 3 years older than Ronaldo and not the other way around.

This bodes well for Juventus who will be hoping to go all the way through this champions league campaign with Cristiano Ronaldo in the thick of things.
