WATCH : DK does a Dhoni behind the stumps
Dinesh Karthik must be a satisfied man right now, as the KKR skipper has been quietly effective as the new captain of the Kolkata franchise.
DK was stepping into the great Gautam Gambhir’s shoes, which was a huge task in itself. Gambhir will go down as one of the most, if not the most, influential person in KKR history.
Gambhir lifted two IPL titles with KKR, as he led the franchise to their most successful period in history.
But now DK is at the helm, and is clearly improving with each game. He had a blinder against DD last time around, as all his bowling decisions were on point.
DK also pulled out a brilliant stumping in tonight’s match against Rajasthan Royals, as Karthik was quick to take his glove off and throw the ball at the stumps.
Rahane did not know where the ball had gone, as the in-form Royals skipper wandered outside his crease.
DK was brilliant, as he quickly picked the ball up and hit the wickets in one motion to dismiss his opposite number.
Nitish Rana was also given the wicket, as the part-timer picked up his third wicket in this season already. Rana has been one of the most ‘Value for Money’ players in the league so far, as the Delhi all-rounder has proven himself to be a brilliant addition to the Eden Gardens outfit.

This brilliant stumping only goes to show the talent that DK has behind the stumps, and why India should keep him in mind for the World Cup squad.
