WATCH: Gary Neville's interview with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer post PSG win proves he is ready for the job

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can do no wrong in football presently. Taking over managerial duties of Manchester United for the rest of the season, all the fans expected was some stability before a high profile signing could be made before the start of next season.

But what Solskjaer has done is, he has made the job his own, the players his own and the innate qualities of the club his very own.

Having been through the system as a player and a coach earlier, Solskjaer has tried to reinstate the DNA of Manchester United; making the fans fall in love with the club all over again.

He has brought back the smiles on the faces of the players, the fans and the coaching staff, infusing this contagious sense of positivity across the club.

The way he has brought the club together has a lot to do with how the United players reacted on the pitch last night, despite having the heavy weight of being 2-0 down after the 1st leg at Old Trafford.

Romelu Lukaku initiated the comeback, with Rashford keeping his nerve in the dying stages of the game to take Manchester United to the quarter finals of the Champions League.

In the post match interview with his ex-teammate Gary Neville, the Manchester United caretaker manager was asked to answer three very simple questions about his job and the future.

“Ole Gunnar, I’ve got three very questions for you: How long you would you like on your contract? What would your salary be, and where would you like the statue?” Gary Neville asked the Manchester United boss.

The ever so humble Solskjaer admitted that he was just going to go on with his job as before and leave it up for the club to decide his future.

He then went to speak about the fantastic night in Paris and how the boys played out of their skins to achieve the result.

He also pointed out that he was extremely nice to see Sir Alex Ferguson in the dressing room post the win, congratulating all the people involved in the historic comeback.

Ole shares a wonderful relationship with his players and hopes that the results keep coming for Manchester United.

At the end of the interview, Gary Neville tried ‘kissing’ Ole and the Manchester United manager hilariously pointed to his ‘forehead’.

After the interview, Gary Neville too had some brilliant things to say about Solskjaer.

“He will. He’ll probably be the king of Norway, the president of Norway and the prime minister of Norway as well.” he said.

“I can’t believe what’s happened. I thought, when he first came in, it was just to reconnect the club with the fans, the players and get everyone happy.

“He’s a safe pair of hands, someone that the club could rely upon to give good information to the boardroom about what the players are like. And then they would appoint the best manager in the world.

“Ole’s results are Premier League title-winning results. The form guide says it all. The performances are very good, the fans are loving it, it’s been a sensational three months.

“I think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will get given the job. The right time for me was always mid-March to the end of March, and that’s when the international break is.

“I’ll be surprised if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not awarded the job in the international break in the next couple of weeks.” he added.
