Chelsea transfer news: Chelsea could be set for a major boost in the transfer market as a club’s chief has confirmed that their star player could be at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are at fifth position in the Premier League and have played more matches than all the teams battling for the top-4 positions. The side faced a 2-0 defeat to league leaders Liverpool last weekend, which has complicated things for Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea will take on Slavia Praha in the second leg of the quarterfinal of the Europa League later tonight. But the side has received an early boost for their transfer plans for the summer.
A Premier League club’s chief has efficiently stated that their player could join Chelsea in the summer.
Chelsea transfer news: Big boost for the Blues
Watford’s technical director Filippo Gillardi has said that their star midfielder, Roberto Pereyra is capable of playing for a club like Chelsea.
He also hinted that he might go to a ‘great club’ if Watford fails to tie him down in the summer.
“I do not like to comment on transfer market speculation,” he began, as quoted by the Evening Standard. ”
“In football, nothing is impossible, but I see it as a highly unlikely scenario as for us he (Pereyra) is a very important player. I think he can go to a great team, and I say it with all due respect to Torino. I see him as a potential Chelsea player.”
Roberto Pereyra joined Watford from Juventus, where he was given limited opportunities. However, he has been a key member of the Hornets ever since he arrived at the club in 2016.
“He played at Juventus, but he lacked continuity. With us he has excellent statistics and I see him in a great team.
“We will do everything we can to keep him, otherwise he will go to a big team.”
