Veteran Indian opening batsman Gautam Gambhir accepted him getting run-out in a ‘childish’ manner during the second round of the ongoing season of Ranji Trophy against Himachal Pradesh at New Delhi.
It had happened yesterday when Gambhir erred during Delhi’s second innings on the third day of the match. On the cusp of his 68th First-class half-century, Gambhir responded to Dhruv Shorey’s call to run a couple of runs. However, he seemed careless to drag his bat, eventually falling short of the crease.
In which was his second impressive knock of the match, Gambhir ended up scoring 49 (52) with the help of seven fours and a six before being run-out in a bizarre manner. Watch the full video below:

Looking at the funny side of things, Gambhir took to his Twitter account last evening to share a hilarious joke with respect to his dismissal on the eve of Children’s Day. Read the full tweet below:
Anaiza to Aazeen: Didi, how did papa celebrate Children’s Day?
Aazeen replied: Well, today in the Ranji Trophy match he got run out like a kid!!!!

With Delhi earning the first innings lead, the match ended up in a draw as Himachal Pradesh scored 266-5 in 102 overs chasing a 376-run target. With Delhi having handsome chances of winning the match at one point in time, it was the duo Nikhil Gangta (66) and Rishi Dhawan (52), which scored individual half-centuries to save the match for India.
On the first day of the match, Gambhir had made the news for lashing out at the umpire after being wrongly given out.
