Barcelona and Real Madrid went head-to-head for the second time this season, having completely humiliated the Los Blancos with a 5-1 win earlier this campaign. However, the history did not repeat itself as the game ended 1-1 at Nou Camp on Wednesday.

It was the visitors who took the deal through Lucas Vazquez after an excellent close control from Real Madrid’s number 9 Karim Benzema to control and pass the ball to the Spaniard who had a simpler task to tap the ball in from close range. Ivan Rakitic came closest to scoring for the Blaugrana when he struck the post from a set-piece situation before the half time whistle.

The pressure started to pile on Real Madrid defenders who could not prevent the equalizer. Jordi Alba’s extraordinary run coupled with Shot-stopper Keylor Navas’ rushing down to close down cost the reigning Champions League winners. When the Costa Rican International’s momentum took the ball to Luis Suarez, who took a shot from an acute angle, but it was cleared off Sergio Ramos. But, Malcom looped the ball over the defenders to level the score just nine minutes into the second half.

Vinicius Junior had a couple of chance to put the game beyond the eyesight of Barcelona, but he failed to capitalize it. Additionally, Barcelona could have conceded a goal in a similar fashion to Real Madrid when Ter Stegen came out of the line, but Gareth Bale took many touches before he was closed down quickly by the Barcelona defenders to win back the ball.

However, there was one specific moment where Sergio Ramos tackles to win the ball back but Nelson Semedo evades him and the Spaniard’s momentum took him near the advertisement board.

Watch the hilarious moment here.

Of course, the fans loved this momentum and made fun of Sergio Ramos.

Barcelona fans not only loved this momentum, but he put in a fantastic performance and was arguably the best player on the pitch for the Blaugrana.

Fans will be waiting for a fitting second leg after the game is evenly poised after the completion of the game at Nou Camp. The second leg will take place on February 26 at Santiago Bernabeu.
