Jasprit Bumrah dismisses Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi: The Indian fast bowler dismissed two batsmen in the same over.

During the 28th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between India and Afghanistan at Southampton, India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was successful in breaking the game-changing partnership between Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi to bring back India into the match.

Chasing a 225-run target, Afghani batsmen put on display an inspired batting performance to send jitters in the Indian setup. A 42-run partnership for the third wicket between Rahmat and Shahidi playing a vital role in the same.

Bowling the second over of his second spell, Bumrah ensured that India captain Virat Kohli’s ploy of handing the ball to him reaps fruits. In addition to just breaking the stand, the right-arm fast bowler also dismissed both the set batsmen to push Afghanistan on the back foot.

On the fourth delivery of the over, Rahmat Shah’s attempt of pulling a Bumrah delivery saw him top-edging the ball towards the fine-leg region. It is worth mentioning that the dismissal saw leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal grabbing a spectacular running catch.

On the last ball of the over, another short ball became too heavy on Shahidi as he ended up lobbing the ball back to the bowler. Having played it uncomfortably, Shahidi had no one but himself to blame as Afghanistan were reduced to 106/4 in 29 overs.

While Rahmat Shah scored 36 (63) with the help of three fours, Shahidi ended up scoring 21 (45) with the help of two fours.
