WATCH: Khawaja’s outstanding catch to dismiss Kohli
Khawaja’s outstanding catch to dismiss Kohli: Australia’s top-order batsman was seen taking a stunner at gully to dismiss Kohli.
During the first day of the first Test of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia at Adelaide, Australia top-order batsman Usman Khawaja was seen grabbing a stunner at gully to dismiss India captain Virat Kohli cheaply.
The action unfolded on the third delivery of the 11th over when Kohli’s attempt to play a big drive outside the off stump saw him edging a Pat Cummins delivery between third slip and gully.
To Kohli and everyone else’s surprise, Khawaja jumped to his left from gully only to get hold of a one-handed piece of beauty. In which was Cummins’ first wicket, it saw the third Indian batsman departing for a meagre score.
While there was a hype around Kohli dominating in the Test series against Australia, the first instance of which has said of otherwise. The Indian captain ended up scoring 3 (16).
In which came as a fresh change for India and Kohli, he won the toss earlier, deciding to bat first. India took the risk-involving call of playing limited-overs vice-captain and opening batsman Rohit Sharma in place of Hanuma Vihari, who is yet to receive a chance at the highest level after scoring his maiden half-century in his debut match against England at The Oval.

Catches win matches. That from Usman Khawaja was good enough to win it. India have started badly in Australia with Kohli gone
